Container Deposit Scheme

10c-refund Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic) is a State Government initiative that provides Victorians with a 10 cent refund for every eligible drink container returned to a refund point.

The initiative started on 1 November 2023 and will expand over the following 12 months.

Frankston residents can return eligible drink containers to any refund point and are not limited to sites within the Frankston muncipality.

CDS Vic targets drink containers that commonly contribute to litter and are often consumed away from the home. 

Only certain types of drink containers are eligible to be returned, therefore it is important to visit CDS Vic's website for what can and can’t be returned.

You can also continue to recycle your drink containers in your household Mixed Recycling and Glass Recycling bins.
