Seaford Community Centre forecourt improvements

The Seaford Community Centre forecourt has been transformed.

The improvements include lawn renovations and new irrigation to provide a green oasis for picnics, tree pruning and planting, new garden beds and the centerpiece – a giant silver orb.

Designed and constructed locally, the orb uses the indigenous Coastal Banksia (Banksia integrifolia) for inspiration. It consists of stylised banksia leaves enveloping a bright yellow banksia flower illuminated from within at night. The orb also has the word ‘Seaford’ etched on a banksia leaf noting its location in the Seaford civic precinct. Council fully funded the project.
