Baxter Park Dam Works

Geotechnical engineering works will be undertaken at Baxter Park Dam during September and October 2023. 

During the works, you may see: 

• people in small boats on the dam
• machinery and equipment undertaking various activities.

Some vegetation will be removed to provide access the dam. This will be minimised and offset in accordance with Council policy. 

Access to the dam will always remain limited to authorised staff only. 

Any works at the dam will not impact the recommendations of the Baxter Park and Equestrian Centre Master Plans, which were developed following community consultation in 2022.
