Schedule
The Road Renewal Program for FY 2024/25 is scheduled to commence in October 2024 and is expected to be completed by June 2025. Work at each location may take several days, depending on the extent of work, treatment type, and weather conditions.
Work Hours
To minimise disruptions to the community and local businesses, some works will be conducted at night, as required. Work hours for other locations will be based on the specific requirements of each site. Residents will receive a notification with at least seven days' notice prior to the commencement of works.
Traffic Management, Access and Parking
While every effort is made to minimise disruptions, there will be some impacts to residents.
While works are underway, the roads will be closed to all through vehicle traffic, and traffic management including detours will be in place.
Residents will still be able to access their properties with the assistance of on-site traffic controllers, although there may be occasional delays depending on the location of equipment and the specific works in progress.
To minimise delays, please inform traffic controllers in advance if you need to enter or leave your property between 7am and 5pm during the works.
On-street parking will be unavailable during the works, so residents are advised to make alternative parking arrangements ahead of time.
Buses and emergency services will have access through the work zones, managed by traffic controllers.
Noise
The road works will generate some noise, particularly from excavation and machinery. This includes reversing alarms, which are necessary for worker safety. Council's contractor will make every effort to minimise noise where possible.
