What is a Final Compliance Inspection for Statement of Compliance?

Compliance Inspections are often required in order for Council to issue Statement of Compliance for subdivision of developments.

A Statement of Compliance is issued by Council once all the requirements of the subdivision planning permit are met and all of the servicing authorities have consented to the issuing of the Statement of Compliance. The Planning Permit may outline works, fees or legal agreements that are required prior to the issue of a Statement of Compliance.

Your land surveyor will notify you of outstanding requirements to be addressed in order for Council to issue a Statement of Compliance.

When a compliance inspection is required, a Council Officer will visit the site to ensure all works have been undertaken in accordance the endorsed plans and permit. This includes inspecting buildings as well as landscaping, car parking areas and other aspects of the site as applicable.
