Apply for a drainage tapping permit

You will need a permit to connect your stormwater to a Council asset such as a pit, pipe or street outlet.

As the property owner, it is your responsibility to dispose of stormwater from all structures and hard surfaces and convey it to the Council nominated stormwater point of discharge. Before applying, you may need to request the location of your point of discharge.

Permits will only be issued for works carried out by a registered plumber.

We prefer you submit your application online. If you're unable to apply online, you can apply via email, mail or in person.
