Place Naming Proposal - Inlet Pond at Ballam Park

Background

Ballam Park is located along Cranbourne Road, adjacent to Karingal Hub shopping complex. A bio-retention system and ornamental lake have been constructed at Ballam Park to reduce storm water contamination in Port Phillip Bay and provide a range of new experiences for visitors. The bio-retention system includes an inlet pond (untreated water), raingarden (treatment section), and a lake (treated water) which uses plants, water circulation and aeration to naturally treat storm water before it reaches the ocean.

Proposal

It is proposed to formally name the inlet pond and the ornamental lake at Ballam Park.
