DEAP 2024

Applications are now open for the 2025/2026 round of Frankston City Council’s event partnership funding - the Destination Event Attraction Program (DEAP).

A creative city, Frankston is an ideal location for audiences seeking unique and memorable experiences at any time of year. 

The City’s accessibility from Melbourne and the surrounding south-eastern suburbs, coupled with its diverse cultural and natural assets make it an outstanding location for destination events.  

The DEAP provides financial and in-kind support to organisations to deliver high quality festivals and events that provide remarkable visitor experiences, local engagement and build upon the City’s positioning as a Creative Destination. 

Council invites applicants to specify the investment they seek to create, relocate or host their event in Frankston City, including cash and in-kind contributions. 

If your event falls outside of the application dates, but you still wish to hold it in Frankston City, please email tourism@frankston.vic.gov.au

When does my event need to be delivered?

Events need to be delivered between July 2025 and June 30, 2026

Who is eligible to apply?

Individuals or organisations with a valid and active Australian Business Number, as well as not-for-profits and community groups. Full eligibility criteria is detailed in the program guidelines.

What level of funding is available?

Event funding is categorised into three tiers, depending on a range of factors including scale and attendance. The minimum amount of funding that can be granted is $5,000 from a total funding pool of $250,000.

Does my event need to be presented in a location within Frankston? Do I need a confirmed venue before submitting an application?

The event must be presented in a location located within the Frankston City Council municipality.

You should indicate the venue or location for the event, and if a privately managed venue, include venue hire costs and confirmation of venue availability.

Can I submit more than one application?

No, you can only submit one application to each round.
