Councillor Information Session

Residents who want to make a difference and represent their local community are invited to consider running as a candidate in the Frankston City Council election, to be held in October 2024.

Potential candidates are invited to attend our free information session, being held on 21 August 2024. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with the Frankston City Council CEO Phil Cantillon, hear from the Mayor of Greater Dandenong, Cr Lana Formoso and find out more about what being a councillor involves.

The session will cover topics including:

• local government and the important role councils play for our local communities
• the role and responsibility of a councillor, Mayor, Deputy Mayor and CEO
• information about Frankston City and the local community
• what newly elected councillors can expect soon after the elections
• councillor training and development opportunities
• view the Council Chambers

Light refreshments will be provided. Please register your attendance to assist in catering requirements
