Punk'n Patch Features:
Future Static
Hailing from Melbourne, the quintet known as Future Static is a force to be reckoned with in the world of heavy music. Their sound is a thrilling blend of alternative, melodic, and progressive elements, crafting a unique brand of emotionally charged heavy music that stands out in a league of its own. Fronted by the electrifying Amariah Cook, whose upbringing bridged the worlds of metal and reggaeton, the band's music is a testament to their diversity. Amariah's powerful screams, dulcet tones, and fluency in Spanish add an exciting layer to their sonic landscape. Lead guitarist Ryan Qualizza showcases his musical prowess with chaotic dissonant riffs, punchy pitch shifts, and intense blast beats, pushing the boundaries of their sound. Future Static's journey has been marked by impressive milestones, from their explosive festival debut at Knight & Day to sharing stages with renowned acts like Jinjer and performing at esteemed festivals like Bigsound, Reeperbahn, and Euroblast. With a debut album slated for late 2023, Future Static is poised to make an indelible mark on the global stage, delivering their visceral fusion of heavy and alternative sub-genres to audiences around the world.
This Space Is Ours
Hailing from the southeast suburbs of Melbourne, This Space Is Ours is a five-piece alt-rock band consisting of Gemma Dunsmore (vocals), Mark Sterner (lead guitar), Sam Pratt (rhythm guitar), Harry Wingrove (bass guitar), and Van Marks (drums). After releasing their debut single, ‘Trick or Treat’, This Space Is Ours has been sharing their music with fans from Bendigo Hotel to Bad Decisions Bar and all of the venues in between. In 2022, the band took some big steps into the Melbourne music scene. Having worked closely with Beau Mckee (Earth Caller, Between You & Me) in the studio and with some coaching from Jaz Yates (manager for Bad Juju, Evergreener and previously Reside/Terra) they released their sophomore single ‘My Name’ with great success, closely followed by ‘Apology’ and ‘Gone in May’ in 2023. The band have more big things coming for music fans this year.
