Karingal Hangout

Karingal Place Neighbourhood Centre

At Karingal Hangout, we run our youth Hangout on Thursday during school term between 3pm-5pm.

All Karingal Hangout sessions are FREE and offered to all young people aged 12-24 years.

In this casual, safe space, you can chat with a youth worker, play games, eat food and hangout with mates. At Karingal we have weekly alternating programs:

One week we have Drop-In, young people can just hangout with mates and youth workers or make some art, practice their drawing skills or work on their school art projects, the Lead Worker Cal has a history in Graphic Design and Animation and would be happy to support any young person with their artistic passions.

The alternating week we have a fun casual cooking afternoon in the wonderful professional style kitchen for young people to try new food, learn new cooking skills or have the opportunity to lead the cooking session themselves and teach us some new skills!

Frankston Youth Services is always open to the feedback of young people, if you have some ideas about how we can do things better or exciting new projects you’d like to try, let us know!
